Growing up I always had a gift for touch. I knew the healing powers it held without understanding that touch could be a safe and positive thing. After attending the University of Kentucky and receiving my Bachelors Degree in Psychology I was fascinated in why humans crave affection and so innately. But it was simple, touch. We all crave and even need touch. After attending UK I decided to pursue touch by attending Myotherapy College of Utah to study Licensed Massage Therapy. It was here that I found my true calling. I learned that touch has been scientifically proven to strengthen the HPA axis that is responsible for the regulation and distribution all of our hormones. If you are a woman or have ever experienced a woman with hormones you know how out of whack they can get, and the effects that it has! We can feel out of touch with reality and even ourselves. Hormones are a tricky thing. Anyhow, I digress. I also learned that a tight muscle in your thigh can distort your body enough over time to even affect your neck! I always assumed, if my neck hurt, it must be my neck. Most of the time it's not! The pains you are feeling in one area of our body can be caused by a completely different segment of the body. I was hooked and have been since. Today I am still attending classes regularly to ensure my knowledge never decreases and my education never stops progressing. I love what I do and I know you will to.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
