Amanda Maier is the founder of Therapeutic Encounters, LLC who through unique training and experiences with patient care has developed specific techniques to complete bodywork for your individual needs. She has a diverse background working as an occupational therapist and certified lymphedema therapist for over 10 years in a variety of settings. Amanda is originally from Louisville, KY where she earned a BA in Business Administration at Spalding University and continued her passion for rehabilitation with a Master's in Occupational Therapy at Spalding University. Transferring from KY to FL working as an OT she decided to further her training in bodywork at the Florida School of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Gainesville, FL. 


Amanda has an extensive list of certifications including CDT/MLD certification through ACOLS 135 HR program, foam rolling specialist, Cupping Specialist, Graston Practitioner, and Trager Resist and Release Clinician trained under the founder, Deane Juhan. 

Amanda is passionate about providing a custom therapeutic massage specific to an individual's needs and preferences to best promote healing and relaxation in a pain-free range. She believes deeply that providing an opportunity for individuals to develop an awareness to oneself can result in connecting the body, mind and spirit allowing an opportunity to encourage a moment of healing.

Amanda was incredible! Not only is she a delight, but very skilled at her profession. She truly listened to my needs and provided not only a great massage, but also an education on what she was doing and why. At the end I felt relaxed and relieved of many of my tight spots. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Amanda is very knowledgeable and the atmosphere in her location is very relaxing. Not only has she helped me with sciatica issues, she massages my 4 year old granddaughter who had a brain tumor - my granddaughter loves going to Ms. Amanda and lets me know when she is ready to get her massage.
