Experience the Difference

My interest in massage began long ago in graduate school.  As an exercise science student, I was curious about the relationship between pre and post exercise massage in how, or if, it influenced performance as well as recovery from exercise.  While I didn't pursue massage therapy at that time, a seed was firmly planted and prepped to sprout at a later time.

As a compliment to being Board Certified (BCMT) and Colorado licensed as a massage therapist, I am also a Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP), with over 20 years of teaching and coaching at the college level.  These two disciplines allow me to more fully assist a client in accomplishing their bodywork goals. It also allows me to bring a different set of skills to complement my massage therapy practice that sets it apart from most massage therapists. Because of my background, I obviously specialize and thoroughly enjoy working with an active population.  However, we all move - whether we are athletes or not. So whether you are in pain or just wanting to function in the healthiest way possible, give Zenjen a try.

Naturally, I specialize and have a passion for working with athletes.  However, the years though, half of my clientele has consisted of people from all walks of life who have sought massage therapy to manage or correct pain. Recent continued education has led me to study and practice John F. Barnes Myofascial Release.  This form of therapy is transforming my bodywork business.  To date, the majority of my long term massage (and deep tissue massage) clients have completely switched to myofascial release and will most likely never return to traditional massage because it is so effective and much longer lasting as a form of pain relief.

Jen was very welcoming when I arrived and I knew right away the treatment was going to be fantastic. Her skill and energy was immediately evident from the first touch. I I left with pain relief and a positive recharge from the massage and her Reiki. If you’re looking for a massage therapist, you can’t go wrong with Jen.
