Grant followed his calling beginning with Reiki and other energy therapies. After graduation from the Hudson Valley School of Massage Therapy and completion of the New York State board exam for Massage therapy, Grant began what would become a 10 year position as a massage therapist at the Spa at Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, New York. During this time, he worked privately with chiropractors to sharpen his therapeutic skills and develop effective treatments. While at Mohonk, Grant received special training for breast cancer and mastectomy massage.

During this time, he went on to study acupuncture at Tristate College of Acupuncture in Manhattan. While at Tristate, Grant studied Zheng Gu Tui Na - a Chinese style of massage -  in addition to various styles of acupuncture and eastern medicine, including a specific Japanese style; Kiiko Matsumoto (KM) style, which emphasizes the use of fascial communication and "reflex zones" throughout the body to treat many conditions.

After receiving his masters degree in acupuncture, Grant spent three years interning in KM style and one year in a mentorship program learning "Five Element Alchemical" style techniques. Grant takes these and other forms of acupuncture treatments and converts them to non-needle, acupressure techniques. He has also studied Meridian Massage,  Ablon - a Filipino style of massage- and Cherokee bodywork techniques.

Grant now works mainly at Freer Therapeutics, his private practice in Kingston, NY and is available by request at other venues. He also runs a weekly clinic for Parkinson's Syndrome with his friend and officemate Malinda Sanducci of Dragon Springs Acupuncture out of their office.
