Welcome to A Touch of Health! If you’re looking for a professional massage, you’ve come to the right place. I specialize in Therapeutic Massage, Onsite Chair Massage, and Massage for Chronic Pain. I have almost 30 years of experience and I am trained in a variety of techniques.

Therapeutic Massage

This is my signature massage and what most patients will receive. The base is mostly Swedish, but after almost 30 years of experience, I like the body to tell me what it needs, and I will utilize the other techniques that I have learned, to customize your massage. I like to work as deeply as the body will allow without causing pain. My goal is to make positive and healthy changes to the soft tissues. I also incorporate hot stones into the end of the massage for your pleasure.

Medicinal Cannabis Oil Massage

This is a Therapeutic Massage (see therapeutic massage) using medicinal cannabis infused massage oils. This is generally for those with chronic pain or skin conditions, and who are 18 years of age or older. The increased cost is due to the high cost of the oils. $40 can be added to any other service item, for the use of the medicinal cannabis infused oils. These oils DO NOT penetrate the bloodstream, so no concerns.

Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using special cushions specially developed for the expecting mother, allowing maximum comfort. Most can lay on their belly the whole 9 months! The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.

You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Shari is a 1990 graduate of Downeast School of Massage in Waldoboro, Maine, as well as a 1978 graduate of Westbrook College/UNE in Portland, Maine, with an associate in science and a degree in dental hygiene.
Shari is a Maine, state licensed, massage therapist and an a 30 year, active member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
A registered caregiver with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. This legally allows her to massage certified patients with cannabis infused oils for relief of pain, skin conditions, and general wellbeing.
