Our mission is to holistically aid you in attaining:

  • maximum functionality
  • minimum pain
  • without use of invasive measures
  • while taking into consideration your current lifestyle
Holistic means "of or involving the whole".  In bodywork this means looking at the body as a single entity to find the origin of the pain rather than treating the symptom, and seeking to alleviate the cause of the pain through natural measures using various forms of bodywork.  While we understand some clients will see their doctors for medications, injections, and surgery, our goal is to help you become as pain free as possible without having to resort to such invasive procedures unless it is your desire to do so.
We strive to be your partner in maintaining form and functionality, and relieving pain through increased circulation, release of muscle and fascial (connective tissue) restrictions, and promoting the release of endorphins - the body's natural pain relievers.

And besides, massage just feels good!

Myofascial Release

I have ~ 100 hours of continuing education in John Barnes' Myofascial Release work. MFR primarily addresses the fascia, or connective tissue. Achieving releases of tight, 'glued' (aka adhesions) fascia permits better flexibility and longer lasting results from your massage.

Neuromuscular Therapy

Commonly called Trigger Point Therapy, this is the work that 'gets the pain out'. Trigger points are notorious for referring pain elsewhere, so don't despair if I'm not working where you say it hurts. Often the problem isn't where the pain is. I keep the trigger point referral charts on the wall of my treatment room so you can see the connections.
