“Do something. Work your magic,” my significant other jokingly instructed me one evening. He was having a hard time breathing due to allergies and was desperate for relief. I rolled up my sleeves and joked back with him, “Let me see what I can do”, and pretending to actually know magic, I began rubbing his cheeks. “Do something. Work
your magic,” my significant other jokingly instructed me one evening. He was
having a hard time breathing due to allergies and was desperate for relief. I
rolled up my sleeves and joked back with him, “Let me see what I can do”, and
pretending to actually know magic, I began rubbing his cheeks. After just a few
strokes, he took a long, deep, satisfying breath in and stared at me as if I
had secretly been a witch all along. I couldn’t believe it worked either. I
looked down at my hands and wondered what other magic they might be capable of.
Within that same week I was enrolled in Globe University’s
massage therapy program.
I graduated with my Associate’s Degree in December of 2015,
but am continuously learning new things and falling more in love with massage
every day.
I enjoy providing all types of experiences from relaxation (Swedish
massage/spa techniques) to therapeutic (deep tissue/sports massage), and I look
forward to becoming certified in specific modalities such as reiki,
craniosacral therapy and myofascial release.
Outside of massage therapy, I enjoy all types of art,
including other healing arts such as essential oils, meditation and yoga. I
also enjoy painting, writing, music, being outdoors and spending time with friends, family and pets.
