About Us

My name is Sophia Renee (Phia Renee) and am a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist in Salt Lake County, Utah. I have been practicing since 2010. I have worked in various settings doing massage therapy from luxury spas, ski resorts, gyms, and hospice.

I specialize in mental health and chronic pain management, which I’ve learned tend to go hand in hand. One of my favorite techniques is Ashiatsu. Ashiatsu offers broad pressure, while using the feet to perform massage, which allows my clients to relax very well while still getting in some good deep tissue therapy.

Therapeutic Basics Massage

Massage oil or cream is used with smooth, gliding strokes. Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation.

Ashiatsu Therapy

Ashiatsu style of bodywork that is done primarily with the feet. By using the feet to perform massage, it allows the therapist to release muscle tension with exceptionally deep yet broad pressure. Overhead parallel bars are used for the therapist to balance & support themselves during the treatment. This modality is great for anyone who prefers deep work, or those who do not like the use of pointy tools, such as elbows or thumbs.

Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic Drainage is a very gentle light massage that helps to direct lymphatic fluid towards the lymph nodes. The lymphatic system is part of your immune system and cleans toxins, proteins, cancer cells, viruses, and dead cells about 20 times faster than the body is able to do on it's own. Once a large amount of toxins are eliminated, the body is able to relax more deeply and use it's energy more directly to regenerate the cells. When I am not doing massage, I enjoy exploring different towns and states. I have a love exploring ghost towns and learning about their history. I also enjoy off-roading and having time with my loved ones.

I have been getting massages since I was around 12. As an aging competitive dancer, I have a lot of body issues (i.e. chronic pain, hip and leg subluxation). Sophia gave me the first massage ever where I have fallen asleep! She really listened to what I needed and created an experience just for me with the perfect amount of pressure across the board. I also truly appreciated that I Sophia doesn't nickel and dime her customers for every single add-on (i.e. hot towels, aromatherapy). Sophia decided what experience she wanted her clients to receive, and she built that into an inclusive pricing structure with a few extra special add-ons.
