He completed his therapeutic massage studies in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he gained practical knowledge and experience with Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Aromatherapy, Chair, Hot Stone, Neuromuscular & Prenatal massage. Kevin also holds an MBA from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science from James Madison University, where he studied Public Administration. Kevin’s journey to a career in massage therapy began after his mother was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. After seeing countless doctors and trying many different medications, she found that massage therapy was among the most helpful treatments in relieving her pain. Kevin decided he wanted to dedicate his career to helping others pursue better health and wellness. After resigning at his corporate job, he enrolled in massage therapy school in Florida. Once licensed, Kevin began his own practice, allowing him to treat clients in Florida and Washington, DC. Before working with clients, Kevin will conduct a thorough assessment in order to gain an understanding of their health, lifestyle and desired outcome of massage therapy. Together, Kevin and the client can determine how to incorporate massage into an overall wellness plan. Providing superior customer service has been the foundation of Kevin’s career. Prior to becoming a licensed massage therapist, he worked for a hotel company organizing client events and developing marketing strategies for customers. Kevin also spent several years working as a volunteer organizer and board liaison for an LGBT political organization in Washington, DC. Remaining physically fit and healthy is critical to being a massage therapist, so Kevin can often be found at the gym, playing tennis, running on the National Mall, or experimenting in the kitchen.
