I was first introduced to massage therapy as a form of rehabilitation after a personal experience with a motor vehicle accident. This experience along with a strong desire to help others helped me decide on a career in massage therapy.
I have treated a variety of conditions ranging from joint sprains, muscle strains, back, shoulder and neck pain, and stress related disorders. My education has allowed me to have a great understanding for musculosckeletal injuries. In order to maintain current with new developments in massage therapy I take ongoing classes that specialize in different massage methods.
I believe in customizing a massage for each client. I strive to provide the most comfortable atmosphere possible to relieve the mind of stress and anxiety. My desire is to educate and bring body awareness to each of my clients.

Marijean is a true professional. Although we are friends, she still has a professional environment when I'm there. She wouldn't even let me help her carry in some water because I was there to relax. Her touch is amazing and she has a great feel for any spots that need a little extra work. I'm always relaxed when I leave. I highly recommend Shalom Therapeutic Massage.

I went in for a specific deep tissue massage to my right hamstring muscle which was affecting my daily runs I had tried several other techniques including physical therapy and dry needling prior to seeking a deep tissue massage. The massage treatment was targeted to the exact muscle group I needed and it was extremely relaxing and effective.
