All about me!

Laura, graduated with honours, from York University with a Bachelor of Science specializing in Kinesiology. She later studied at the Canadian Therapeutic College for Massage Therapy to become a Registered Massage Therapist and a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Laura, graduated with honours, from York University with a Bachelor of Science specializing in Kinesiology. She later studied at the Canadian Therapeutic College for Massage Therapy to become a Registered Massage Therapist and a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She has also completed courses in Hot Stone Therapy (Level 1 & 2), Therapeutic Modalities, and Active Release Technique (A.R.T). IN 2010, she graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and became a Registered Holistic Nutritionist.  

Laura has been practising massage therapy since 2008 and has worked in a variety of settings including spas and sports clinics.  Sports massage is Laura's speciality and she has worked closely with elite and recreational athletes. Her clientele includes, marathoners, triathletes, cross fitters, body builders, rowers, golfer's and cyclists. Her goal is to keep her clients injury free and help them recover from training. Laura knows first-hand what an athlete experiences having an extensive background in competitive gymnastics, swimming, running and triathlon.  Although Laura is not currently competing in triathlons, her past results include: finishing 1st overall woman at the 2010 Canadian National Sprint Triathlon Championships in Kelowna, British Columbia; placing 8th overall in her age group at the 2009 World Triathon Championships in Australia, and 4th in her age category at the 2008 World Triathlon championships in Vancouver. Laura also competed in the 2013 Las Vegas Rock 'n Roll Half Marathon finishing with a time of 1:37:57.   Laura also enjoys the benefits of hot yoga and incorporates it into her weekly workout routine.
