I’m Tonya, and I’m all about the healing power of movement and touch. Massage Therapy, Assisted Stretching, Latin Dance (Salsa is my favorite), and CIRCL Mobility by Zumba are my tools of choice.

Over time, I’ve learned that sticky fascia is behind a lot of my fibromyalgia discomfort, and the best way to combat that is to keep it lubed up with movement. In my off time, I prefer CIRCL Mobility by Zumba and Latin dance at Fayetteville Latin Dance Studio (shameless plug for my girls).

I prefer CIRCL Mobility by Zumba, Latin dance at Fayetteville Latin Dance Studio (shameless plug for my girls) and Hyperbolic Stretching by Alex Larsson.

I also learned that deep tissue massage is NOT a good idea for someone with a condition like Fibromyalgia. That was a really painful, pricey lesson to learn. It took a bunch of expensive, unhelpful, frustrating deep tissue massages to figure that one out.

My intention at Love, Tonya Wellness, is to provide a personalized course of action for each of my clients. You may be in a lot of pain and overwhelmed with life. You need a Mental Health Day. I'll give you some gentle assisted stretching paired with relaxing bodywork. Then, if you have time, I'll sit you in the hot tub for a bit.

You may have this spot on your back that's been killing you for weeks and you need me to dig my elbow into a trigger point for a bit. Or you may need 30 minutes of attention just on your hands and arms because they are so sore from typing on that computer all day. That's what my Targeted Massages are all about.

You may be feeling so stiff and achy, but you know you need to move your body... you just need a little help. We can do some assisted stretching followed by getting in the mat and doing some CIRCL Mobility together. If that sounds good, check out the Mobility packages. We'll work together and get some relief and movement in our joints all while having a great time.

Long story short, I know pain. I've got a really personal relationship with it and I know what it's like to just want a break. Just some relief. Even for a little while. And that is what I am dedicated to providing for my clients. A break from the reality of living with pain. A healing touch that lets you float away for a little while and rejuvenate your mind. Education on how to provide yourself with relief. Tools to take home and give yourself the care got need so that you're mentally prepared to live your life to the fullest.
