Massage has always been something I've believed in from the time I was child. My course in life brought me to the Northwest Noetic School of Massage in 2008. I absolutely loved the anatomy, physiology and hands on learning I got from my classes. I don't think I'd had so much fun with my education since the Biology and Microbiology classes I took at SFCC. I can't seem to get enough when it comes to learning. With that being said I take all the opportunities I can to learn more modalities that can help my clients. In Cranial Sacral work I've seen improvements in clients migraines and athletic performance. Through Strain Counterstrain I've seen painful conditions like frozen shoulder syndrome be quickly relieved. I strive to use the modalities I've been trained in to provide you with the best massage possible, tailoring it to your specific concerns.
Cranial Sacral: is excellent for those who suffer from frequent headaches, migraines and eye strain. By reducing tension surrounding the bones of the skull pressure is taken off the central nervous system and more blood flow is able to go to and from your brain. This can help improve mental clarity and increase physical performance; a great benefit for athletes. It's also great at relieving allergy and sinus congestion.
Strain Counterstrain: is great for quickly relieving neck, back and hip pain along with frozen shoulder syndrome. Strain Counterstrain uses gentle techniques that help increase your range of motion and alleviate pain while keeping you in a position of greatest comfort.
Structural Integration based Deep Tissue: does wonders for improving posture and relieving pain in the back, neck, hips and knees. This approach looks at the body as whole and targets the cause of the pain with deep tissue massage, not necessarily the painful areas.
Swedish Massage: is very relaxing and soothing for overworked muscles. It uses lots of gliding, kneading, lifting and percussive movements to relax the body.
Pregnancy Massage: is wonderful for easing aches and pains during this time of rapid change within the body. I often bring all the modalities I've been trained in together with the use of gliding kneading strokes of Swedish massage. Receiving a massage can help lower stress levels and improve your overall state of mind and body. Which can better equip you to be the super mom you already are.
Chair Massage: is a great way to bring massage to a group of people or to receive massage when your time is limited. Chair massage can ease head, neck, back, hip and arm pain. It's also a great way to bring massage on location for employee and customer appreciation events. Chair Massage use a specially designed massage chair to allow you to relax while you receive, typically, a 10-20 minute massage.
