I was traditionally trained to use Swedish massage as my foundation during school. After graduating I began training under a few different Kumu (teachers) for my practice of Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi and in 2015 I began to explore the benefits of Rummi-Rummi from the Maori. I annually attend Hawaii's Lomi-Lomi conference and have been a member of the official Lomi-Lomi Association since 2014. A member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) since becoming a student in 2013, I have been licensed in Illinois through the NCBTMB since 2014.Continuing to add to my abilities in 2016 I began to undertake the study of Myofacial Trigger Point Release Therapy.
My style of bodywork combines these studies and focuses the client on the connection between the mind and body. It is important to be supportive of a healthy lifestyle for the client by approaching each treatment session with clear intentions towards positive goals. Each individual seeks to benefit from the treatment, any of which could range from medical reasons to stress relief, who are all different and each deserving of an individualized bodywork strategy. This ability to assist someone in healing or aspiring towards a healthier lifestyle is what leads me to continue learning. hide
