Ruth ~ Lady of Radiant Joy

My name is Ruth Renate Davidson. A keystone of my practice is nurturing the development of resiliency of the body, mind, and spirit; through kindness, compassion, and inclusivity, for the preservation, healing, and growing of love. Because I nurtured these things in myself as a Woman of Sorrows I was able to become a Lady of Radiant Joy.

So you understand more about me and my expertise, I would like to share my education and training. I have a bachelor’s degree in child and adolescent development and a master’s degree in education with the Critical Research Academy. These programs informed and solidified my strong beliefs that inclusivity matters. It also means I am comfortable working with children and teenagers and pregnant women (though legally I cannot yet massage children and pregnant women).

I received my massage education at De Anza College, and have been trained in the following techniques: basic lymph drainage therapy, neuromuscular therapy, table Shiatsu, trigger point, sports, and Swedish massage.

I am also a Reiki Master and Teacher, and trained in Moto-ki (martial arts/earth based energy healing techniques), and energy sensing techniques. As a Tarot card reader, I use these energy skills in my readings. I believe in the union between modern medical advances and energy healing.

I’ve been in practice as an energy healer for four years, as a Tarot card reader for two, and I have over a thousand hours of therapeutic massage training and experience.

I believe that therapies should be applied with presence, kindness, and sensitivity to both the nervous system and the person in front of me. As a massage therapist I have worked with people experiencing post-stroke symptoms, migraine, stress, body dysmorphia, body dysphoria, heartache, grief, and other discomforts. As an energy healer I have done the above as well as worked on expectant mothers, fetuses, babies, children, and adolescents. As a Tarot reader I have done the above and also helped people receive messages from the Divine and answer questions most salient to them. I often blend these modalities together when appropriate.

For all my services what you are paying me for is my time. During that hour, or two, or three, I dedicate all of that time to you, and it is sacred to me. All things will be lawfully held in confidentiality. I have a no nudity policy, meaning, you just leave your underwear on. Ask me about package deals for combining services together!

For all bodywork services please be sure to fill out the intake form, even if you are receiving energy healing. When doing energy work I need to be sure that I am working with any medications, supplements, or other treatments, not against them. For everything under meditation please be sure to at least fill out the basic information, and to sign the agreement at the end. For all services, please be sure to include your birthday so I can give you birthday discounts to show my appreciation!

I love helping people feel empowered and heard. My modalities are with Tarot Readings, Energy Healing/Reading, and Therapeutic Massage.
I got into Tarot for my own self, and discovered that I was excellent at reading for other people. It was simply another way of using Reiki (Universal Life Force Energy), and Earth energ (Moto-ki, Power form of Reiki) and other spiritual/metaphysical abilities. It's a rich wonderful resource for communicating with Divine.
I got into energy healing for my own self as well. The results were wonderful for me and I was encouraged to practice on other people. That's when I learned how much I enjoyed working with other people on their healing path in this way.
This led me to therapeutic massage. I originally decided to learn massage simply so I could do touch energy healing within the bounds of state law. Then I discovered how much I enjoyed massaging people and I began integrating energy healing with massage therapy. They work so well together.
I work with the body, mind, and spirit. They are all interrelated. I was once a Woman of Sorrows, but through preserving, healing, and growing love within myself I was able to become a Lady of Radiant Joy. I believe in doing everything I can to preserve, heal, and grow love in all that I do.
