What I want for you as my client is to experience freedom in your movement, so that you can pursue what makes you joyful, hence the name of my practice, Joyful Flight Massage. My passion is studying how the body works, and using a broad range of techniques within my scope of practice to help you maintain and improve your health. Specifically, I implement in my practice effective techniques such as myofascial release, deep tissue work, various muscle energy techniques--such as Active Isolated Stretching (to restore and improve proper joint movement and muscle tone), fascial counterstrain (also called strain counterstrain) and cupping (soon to be offered as an add-on to your massage session).

I work with you and your body to reach a restored state by combining these techniques with an ever-growing understanding of how muscles work together, and how various muscular imbalances formed from habitual posture or trauma cause dysfunction.

I do what I do because I feel most joyous when I can move by body and play. With a background in various sports, such as track, cross country, martial arts, equestrian training and competition, and others, I have certainly have had my share of injuries. Aside from various sprains, strains, and overuse injuries, I have also experienced neck, head, and shoulder trauma from whiplash and concussions, and have undergone an ACL and meniscus repair to my right knee.

My interest in anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology combined with my personal learning experiences and a passion to help others is why I am a massage therapist committed to always improving my knowledge and my ability to help my clients.
