I liked that he wanted to improve my function, not have me walk out of there feeling relaxed.
He is incredibly knowledgeable and committed to providing a great massage based on my individual needs, not just a standard, cookie-cutter massage. IT WAS EXCELLENT!

I started seeing Cobus for shoulder impingement. The pain in my shoulder was so bad it was keeping me awake at night. I was unable to perform normal ever day activities. I could not reach my arm over my head or reach back to put my arm through a jacket without pain. My doctor told me after x-rays, that I would need cortisone shots and probably surgery. A physical therapist showed me which exercises I needed to do to help my back and shoulders and I have been doing that 3x a week.
With strength training and a weekly massage from Cobus, I can honestly say that I have been able to sleep soundly every night. As of today, I no longer have pain when reaching back to put my seat belt on or put my arms through my jacket sleeves. I can put my arm above my head and actually touch the side of my head with my arm..NO PAIN!!! It has definitely been a process and we aren't done yet, but I have all the faith in Cobus and the magic that comes out of his fingers. All I have to do is tell him where it hurts and he knows exactly what needs to be done. His jokes along the way are a bonus. I know I will be prone to shoulder injury the rest of my life if I don't stay on top of the issue. He has a customer for life. You are my hero!

Cobus is a very caring, intuitive and talented therapist! I've never had a deep tissue massage feel so luxurious! He really understands that deep tissue should never be painful. My neck and forearms were very tight, they are my problem child. Two days later and they still feel amazing!
