This is a treatments based massage practice, that focuses on a natural approach to healing and management of musculoskeletal issues. Therapeutic Directions is not your typical massage practice offering traditional styles of massage. Together we'll establish a plan for your therapeutic growth, so you can live life more balanced, and obtain a deeper understanding of how to maintain your body.

I felt cheated and taken advantage of by this experience. When I called Monique to make an appointment, I explained that I was looking for a deep tissue massage (focusing on the lower back). She never once mentioned that she doesn't provide traditional massages. She did however, emphasize that I have to pay upfront when making the appointment. In hindsight, this should've been a huge red flag. When I arrived at my appointment, Monique told me for the first time that she does not provide traditional deep-tissue massages. I was surprised and disappointed. Had she been upfront about this BEFORE the appointment, I wouldn't have made an appointment in the first place. Since I had already paid for this session and it was non-refundable at that point, I decided to give her a chance. I was even more disappointed when I realized er "treatment based" session ended up being primarily a reiki session, with her lightly placing her hand on various spots on the body & holding it there for a few minutes.

I walked in my pain level was almost 10. After talking with Monique we decided on what would be the best course of action. When I walked out my pain level was about 4. I'm really glad that I was able to get an appointment so quickly. I will be returning in the future.

Having suffered a number of injuries the past few years I have been prescribed physical therapy, massage therapy and muscle therapy sessions, I would put Monique at the absolute top of the list for knowing what she is doing and doing it effectively. When your muscles continue to feel better and better two days after the session you know you have had some really good work done.

This was the first massage I've had where I was constantly getting feedback and being asked questions about habits and form based on muscle position, tightness, etc. This makes for a much more involved experience that helps to create trust and rapport. Where do I even start? Monique is not just your average LMT, she is beyond that. I came in with an injury I have been working through for sometime now with Dr. Bechard, whom she shares an office with. Monique listened to what was bother me and adjusted the therapy to work on the issues. I didn't need a whole body massage. I just needed problem areas to be fixed so she concentrated on those areas and worked out the kinks unlike most massage therapists that have one method for everyone and not addressed the issue to the extent needed.
