I discovered the healing power of massage in my mid-twenties which was a turning point for me. I had been suffering from anxiety and panic attacks for some time and through massage I was able to relax, calm my mind and begin to feel some balance. It was life changing for me and I knew it was something I wanted to “give” other people.
Directly out of school I was employed at a medical facility where I worked side-by-side with two Personal Injury doctors. My patients were those who were involved in automobile accidents. I learned the medical side of massage care and the many benefits it gives those suffering with pain.
From the medical facility I moved on to working in a full-body massage environment which broadened my experience and techniques. I have taken continuing education courses in Anxiety Disorders and Massage, PTSD, Domestic Violence and Massage, Geriatric Massage and Dealing with Headaches, to name a few. I am very excited to continue my massage education and add more modalities and techniques to my range of abilities.

I thought the work on my Tennis Elbow was very helpful, if a little painful; the work on my shoulders did not need to be as extensive as it was. I would have liked more work on my legs and feet, though my feet are sensitive and do not need too much pressure. I am also sensitive to aromas and would prefer to not to have any added scents in the massage oils or lotions.Otherwise, a really helpful session!

The space that Heidi uses to facilitate her intuitive and relaxing massage therapy is one of peace and tranquility. The charming little Mid-town house, coupled with the massage room screams of character and just feels welcoming. I chose a hot stone massage for my visit; something I've always wanted to try but never have, until now. It was lovely. The stones provided a different feel when applied to certain areas such as the creases of my shoulder blades on my back. At first, they definitely are hot, but only for a moment. They cool off quickly and Heidi proceeds using just her hands. The oils she uses smell wonderful and are of good quality. I happened to have a bit of a congested nose from lying face down and Heidi used a, or what I think was a menthol type oil mixed in with the almond oil she uses. It was such a treat. Not to mention, kind of her :) I can't wait to go back and have another treatment from her. Oh yea, as an added bonus; 20 bucks off your first visit! What are you waiting for? Booking it is easy and Heidi is amazing! Give yourself some love! Especially now when the holidays are approaching and stress levels are rising!
