Diane Stakoe is Nationally Certified by the Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and Licensed in Massage and Bodywork Therapy with the State of North Carolina. She also holds certifications in Medical Massage, Acupressure, Neuromuscular/Trigger Point Therapy, Reiki, Hatha Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Chair/Senior Yoga, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Plus-Size Yoga and Holy Yoga. Diane has also received a certificate of training for the Stephen Ministry program. A graduate of the Palmer Institute of Massage and Bodywork Therapy, outside of Boston, MA, Diane received her Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Miami, FL. Diane was introduced to massage and yoga in 1993, after living many years with chronic back pain. She felt almost immediate relief from the therapeutics of receiving regular massage and learning to practice a variety of yoga poses, stretches and breathing techniques. It has been the use of these preventative health care practices that has kept her out of pain ever since.  After over a decade of working in the field of marketing, Diane realized that she wanted more joy and fulfillment in her career, as well as the opportunity to help others find their path to wellness and self-healing. In 2005, Diane embarked on her journey to becoming a massage therapist and a yoga instructor, which has allowed her to share with others the healing and revitalizing power of both.   In 2007, after moving to Raleigh, Diane was employed with Triangle Trigger Point Therapy until she then started her own practice in 2009. She also worked with UNC Rex Healthcare as a massage therapist and yoga instructor. She also taught gentle, therapeutic yoga at the Moving Mantra yoga studio in N. Raleigh from 2008-2012. Diane hasalso had the pleasure of volunteering with the following organizations: HAWC (Help for Abused Women and Children), The Salvation Army, and the Circle of Hope (a support group for patients with Parkinson's Disease), Wake County School Systems, Holy Yoga Ministries, and The Church at Perry Creek. Diane continues to uphold the highest professional standards. In addition to her current certifications, she pursues continuing education on an ongoing basis to expand her skills in order to provide quality medical and therapeutic massage and yoga therapy to her patients and clients. Outside of her work Diane enjoys spending time outdoors, and with her family.

Diane really worked on the leg and knee after knee replacement surgery. She is a very caring person to work with.

Working with Diane could not be more pleasant. Gradually increasing level of pain in my arms, head and shoulders significantly altered my daily life and made deep, healing sleep quite impossible. Properly administered massage noticeably reduced the level of discomfort and caused my sleep to be far more restorative. Truly grateful. Thank you!

Diane is just wonderfu!

I like all of the body to be included in a massage. I like that Diane listens to what you want or need to have done and then addresses those things.
