Dr. Shelly Persad graduated magna cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2008. She has practiced in Scottsdale, AZ as well as Porto, Portugal, and is now fortunate to bring her services to Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. She brings years of experience as a personal trainer and fitness professional to her practice, as well as being a relationship coach (she emphasizes that your relationship with your body is a direct reflection of your relationship with everything in your life).
She utilizes many different chiropractic approaches depending on the age, size, and health condition of her patient, but specializes in Bio-Geometric Integration – a whole-body approach that focuses on removing stress from your system and allowing your body to integrate its past stressors so you can express your life’s full potential. Some of the other approaches that she utilizes are the drop table, activator, ART (active release technique),
SOT (sacro-occipital technique),
extremity adjusting, trigger point therapy, kinesio taping, and the traditional diversified adjustment (snap, crackle, pop that most people are familiar with).
Dr. Shelly also has studied the Webster Technique which is a specific technique for the care of pregnant women to provide adequate uterine function, pelvic contractions, and baby presentation (head down vs. breech).
Dr. Shelly is extremely grateful to have found her life purpose through chiropractic – it has transformed her life and that is why she has a deep passion for transforming yours and the one of your entire family. Nothing makes her heart smile more than helping people of all ages to heal and express more of their life’s true potential.
When she’s not educating people on health and wellness, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Kumar, and their four-legged child, Aja, working out, yoga, reading, cooking, riding their CanAm Spyder, writing and publishing her books, traveling and of course all the activities that Rocky Point has to offer (sunbathing, paddle boarding, snorkeling, kayaking, boating, etc.). hide
