Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage is often paired with Swedish Massage. Stones are heated and used with oils to warm, soothe, and massage muscles; the therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.

Cupping Therapy

A modern adaptation of an ancient form of alternative medicine in which special cups are applied to the skin to create suction. While massage is performed by applying pressure, cupping therapy instead uses negative pressure to pull, lift, open and expand the body’s soft tissues. Used for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and as a type of deep-tissue massage. Swedish and deep tissue techniques are also used during the session.

Prenatal Massage

A gentle massage for the mother-to-be. Helps to alleviate the many physical and emotional challenges experienced during pregnancy, such as fatigue, muscle aches, headaches, and water retention. Please note that prenatal massage is performed in the side-lying position where cushions are positioned to provided maximum relaxation.
