Hi, my name is Lauri Kisor and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist.  I have had 25 years of physical and manual therapy experience and can use a variety of bodywork techniques.  My husband and I moved to Redmond a year ago.  We are continuing to discover the many joys of living in Central Oregon.

Medical Massage Therapy Certificate

Medical Massage is result oriented and the treatment is specifically directed to resolve conditions that have been diagnosed and prescribed by a Physician. The therapist may use a variety of modalities or procedures during the treatment, but will focus the Medical Massage treatment only on the areas of the body related to the diagnosis and prescription. Medical Massage is generally billed in 15-minute segments using current procedural terminology and adhering to the usual and customary reimbursement fee schedule.

Slocum Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine

Assisted as a PTA under 10 physical therapists with varied back grounds and treatment skills. I carry my own workload while following therapist’s guidelines. We follow multiple surgeon protocols for a variety of surgical procedures including total joints. I assist in achieving short and long term goals through modalities (e-stim, ultrasound, ionto phoresis, ice/heat), manual therapy (joint mobilization, ROM, strain counter strain, Mulligan technique, edema control), soft tissue mobilization techniques (Graston tools, cupping, massage), taping (Kinesio and McConnell), water therapy and strengthening and stretching exercises. We worked with Eugene ballet, college and high school students to rehabilitate them back to performance level ability. There is an emphasis on core strengthening, correct mechanics and achieving better posture. Chronic pain and difficult shoulder patient treatments have been referred to me by therapists as my results are consistent and positive. We use Nexgen electronic medical records to track patients care from beginning to end.

Lauri is fantastic. I've been dealing with a very delicate neck injury, (herniated disc in my neck between C5 and C6), which led to arthritis which has been the cause of chronic pain and can quickly escalate into debilitating pain after some slight agitation. This injury was acquired in the military and they have provided everything from nerve injections and physical therapy to a heavy regimen of pain relievers and muscle relaxers. I started seeing chiropractors and massage therapists to manage the pain without drugs or surgery. This resulted in mild to moderate success, but moving from Wisconsin to Oregon forced me to change my routine. I started seeing Lauri regularly for the last year and since then she has not only provided temporary relief of pain after each session, but I've also enjoyed a long lasting reduction in overall pain and I've been less prone to agitations that lead to me having to take time off work. My quality of life has improved so much I don't even know how to begin to relay my appreciation. 5 stars just feels so understated and I cannot endorse her enough. Sincerely, Derick McCormick

Lauri is incredibly skilled! I have many aches and pains from being a dental hygienist. I always leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I am thrilled I have found someone so passionate about massage and strives to give you the best experience possible. Her caring personality shines through her work and genuinely has a desire to heal. I will no doubt keep her as my massage therapist!!!

Lauri listens to you and knows how to relieve the pain or tension on those areas. By the time the session is over my body and mind are relaxed. I look forward to every massage.
