After spending four years in engineering school I began to feel unfulfilled with my career choice and decided it was time to shift gears, pursuing an interest in health and fitness. I spent two years studying exercise science at Western Michigan University and then went on to get my bodywork diploma from The New School for Massage in Chicago. Although a background in engineering seems completely unrelated, it helped lay the foundation for me to see the body as a complex system of biological levers and pulleys that can be manipulated to bring the body into alignment.
My style of work can be best described as a fusion of deep tissue, Thai, and sports massage. I begin by using several techniques such as neuromuscular & trigger point therapy with the intention of releasing any present muscle tension. Once the tension has been relieved, I then follow up with sports massage and Thai stretches to help restore the affected area back into alignment.
