About Us

Kathrina Leavitt (Rekindled Bodywork, previously Licensed to Soothe) is a Licensed Massage Therapist serving Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Oregon School of Massage with a focus in Western massage therapy. Kathrina combines her warm communication style with focused and skillful bodywork, creating a session that is both comfortable and effective. She focuses on deep tissue and Swedish massage, and employs techniques to treat trigger points, injury recovery, and increase ease of movement in any occupation.

Kathrina loves to work with others one-on-one, impacting the health and feelings of wholeness for each person. It is her desire for each session to belong to the client, regarding their questions, concerns, and interests with the highest care.

Deep Tissue Massage

Designed to remove severe tension, deep tissue massage is a technique used to relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the surface. A session of choice for many athletes, it helps to improve range of motion and heal injuries. I practice deep tissue with mysofasical and deep tissue techniques, with sensitivity to your body and your specific needs.

Therapeutic Massage

This massage for wellness uses firm but sensitive pressure to ease muscle tension and stress, and help you find ease of movement. My therapeutic massages include the modalities influenced by my background in Swedish massage (massage with oil, and gliding strokes) advanced myofascial techniques, Shiatsu, and stretching. Each session is tailored to the individual needs of the client.

Patterns of tension give way to ease of movement and postural stability. I understand the difficulties of life after a motor vehicle collision. Medical massage incorporates many techniques to address muscle and skeletal issues diagnosed by a doctor. I will create a treatment plan, consult with your other practitioners, and bill your insurance for you. For your first appointment please bring a copy of your or responsible persons insurance card, drivers license, and referral slip from your chiropractor or physician (talk with me first if you have questions about how to get this).
