We are so accustomed to thinking that Massage is soley a luxury, something to "treat" ourselves to. But massage has been proven to: lower blood pressure, reduce stress, decrease anxiety, increase quality of sleep, strengthen the immune system, and relax tense muscles. And it feels good!
I have worked my way through a number of different careers: photographer, Internet web designer, custom cabinet maker. My interest in massage lies in relieving trauma that has remained in my clients' bodies. Getting rid of long-term issues frees the body, mind and soul to move forward into a healthier future.
My work combines aspects of deep tissue, relaxation, and trigger point modalities, depending on what your needs are that day. I may use hot stones and fire cupping at times to help relax tissue and extend the effects of your massage. You can always request these treatments be added to your session, without extra cost!
If you are looking for a lighter touch, or have chronic issues that haven’t been alleviated through other therapies, I also provide Craniosacral treatments. Craniosacral works with the bones of the skull and the sacrum, which then have an effect on the nervous system, telling the body to release tension and relax. Some common issues that Craniosacral can help with are: headaches, TMJ syndrome, whiplash, sinusitis, and dizziness.
On the opposite end, if you are looking for a truly deep relaxation massage, book an Ashiatsu massage. This modality is the ultimate deep tissue Swedish massage where the therapist uses her feet instead of her hands to get truly deep into the client's muscles. If you love Deep Tissue and want to move on to the next level, try Ashiatsu!
I graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts in 2012 and have been practicing massage ever since.
