"Our life is a work of art." ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

Previous to my career as a massage therapist, I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Nontoxic printmaking. While working as a production artist for a children's book publisher, I started taking yoga. I was amazed by yogas ability to not only change my body, but also how it effected my mood, and overall sense of well-being. I was amazed by yogas ability to not only change my body, but also how it effected my mood, and overall sense of well-being. Less than six months later, I completed a 200-hour vinyasa yoga teacher training with Mitchel Bleier in Norwalk, CT. Massage therapy training seemed like the next logical step in my healing journey.

I graduated from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy 1000 hour program in June 2010, and then went on to complete their AOS of Massage Therapy program in December of 2010.

When working with clients I draw from a variety of body and energy work modalities including Ashiatsu, Swedish, Myofascial Release, Shiatsu, Thai, Polarity Therapy, and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, depending on the needs of each individual client. I am particularly sensitive to the emotional impact of bodywork, as it has played a huge part in my own healing process. I also enjoy offering prenatal and postpartum massage!

In my spare time, I continue my yoga practice. I am also an outdoor enthusiast, mountain biker, cook, wife, and mother of two girls.

REVIEWS for my Bodywork services

Leah was very good at what she does. I am a 31 year old retired from gymnastics and I have diabetes. That being said, I have some aches and pains. Leah was able to make me feel completely relaxed and helped release my tension. I will definitely be going back:)

Leah's skills exceed my expectations and completely took care of my needs. This is a top-notch therapist and a gem in Kalamazoo. On top of that, she makes it really affordable to take a massage. I highly recommend this professional.

To say "Leah is highly skilled" would be a dramatic understatement! Her vast experience is only superceded by her passion for what she does! The results are simply amazing! Almost magical! Leah recently moved to a beautiful new facility. I would offer my highest recommendation. I am here to stay!
