Kalei Myers

WHOLE-istic approach

When I was 8 years old, I remember running across the apartments to where my grandmother was. In my hand I had a bottle of lotion and a notepad in the other. My hair was pulled back in a ponytail...ready to work. I arrived at my grandmother's door; she would open the door with a huge smile. I would ask, "Nana, what would you like me to work on today?" She would reply with "my neck hurts, could you rub my neck and hands today?" I would give her the best massage my little hands could deliver....

When I was 8 years old, I remember running across the apartments to where my grandmother was. In my hand I had a bottle of lotion and a notepad in the other. My hair was pulled back in a ponytail...ready to work. I arrived at my grandmother's door; she would open the door with a huge smile. I would ask, "Nana, what would you like me to work on today?" She would reply with "my neck hurts, could you rub my neck and hands today?" I would give her the best massage my little hands could deliver...sometimes I would dab a little bit of Tiger Balm on her trouble spots. I would then write out her receipt of care and she would hand me $5.00. I would smile ear to ear and run back home with the cash in my pocket. Years passed and I never thought about being a massage therapist until I was closer to my 40's. My grandmother has dementia…she often doesn’t remember my name or who I am, unless I grab her hand...and then she remembers me. The Universe showed me what my passion really was...and that was to make people feel good through the awareness of touch.

I wanted to be a Massage Therapist, so that I could individually reach the needs of others through awareness and through touch. So when Kundalini found me in 2014...I originally wanted to strengthen my spirituality and meditation practice. Kundalini has brought me more awareness than my heart could have ever hoped for.  Therefore creating a passion to help guide others to root their souls in a spiritual & physical practice. I have been meditating daily since February 1, 2015..and by the end of this year I will have my KRI Certified Instructor of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.

My husband Jason, is on his own personal spiritual journey and is currently in massage school. He will be graduating May 2017!! Once he is licensed he will be working with me in the Sacred Roots studio!

The environment is very beautiful, relaxing, and comforting. Also very clean. Kalei makes one feel welcome without overdoing it as a new client. She is extremely warm and professional. I immediately felt like I was in good hands, which was proven within the first ten minutes of my massage. I intend to go back!

I was able to get my first massage a few days ago! Kalei is amazing. She is both gifted and passionate about massage and it really shows. I left feeling more relaxed than I've felt in a long time. I can't wait to go back!
