About Us

Welcome to San Rai, a boutique center for the healing arts in wonderful downtown Plymouth, Michigan.

I founded San-Rai with the intention of providing a true fusion of ancient healing wisdom with modern bodywork practices. Our state licensed and board-certified therapists provide true custom sessions designed to meet our clients needs drawn from such modalities as, Gauthier Swedish Massage, Shiatsu, Sports and Active Release Techniques, Trigger Point, and Usui-Ryu Reiki energy healing.

We also offer Convenient Online Booking, Free Parking, and we are wheelchair accessible via our elevator. If you require special accommodations in this regard, please inform your therapist before your appointment and we will be happy to greet you upon your arrival to assist.

The place is nice. It's open. It was a little chilly and he turned up the heat for me. It would be a nice addition to offer some aromatherapy (if possible).
A 60 minute massage is a full 60 minutes. The space is calm, quiet and relaxing.

You are in downtown so city noises can permeate the room, but other than that it's very relaxing.
Normally takes me a few massages to relax with someone new working one me. However, Jackilyn helped me relax by targeting areas of concern for me. Pressure was perfect! Small detail but enjoyed the extra large bottle of water given at the end of session too. Details are important to San-Rai.

Reiki uses a technique commonly called palm or hands on healing to balance and align the energetic pathways of the body. it is a light touch or hands off modality that provides a true mindfulness meditation experience. In addition we further enhance the therapy by use of our innovative Bio-Mat table warmer that provides negative ion therapy to promote healing and restoration of injured or tired tissues.

John founded San-Rai Therapeutic Massage and is a graduate of Irene's Myomassology Institute he has been state licensed since 2015. He returned post graduation in an assistant instructor role for massage ethics and hands on practical skills sections of the program. He is also a certified and endorsed member of the Associated Body-Workers and Massage Professionals (ABMP) best practices organization.
He specializes in both relaxation and therapeutic techniques and enjoys creating custom sessions designed around his clients needs. Some of his modalities include Gauthier Swedish Massage, Traditional Shiatsu, and Usui Reiki Therapies. This was my second massage with John. I have needed therapeutic massage for a long time due to an injury 11/2 ago. Have been getting chiropractic treatment but was neglecting the massage. I am starting to feel better already!

I was greeted with a smile & asked if I had any concerns with areas I wanted targeted during the massage. The pressure given was perfect throughtout the hour. Jackilyn asked me through out massage too how I was feeling showing her concern for my well being! Conviently located in DTPlymouth! Extremely quiet suite. Felt comfortable & relaxed right off the bat! My next apt. is scheduled already....

Yalanda Patria is a nationally certified massage therapist. She is certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP). She is also licensed by the State of Michigan. She studied at Wayne State and Henry Ford Community College and graduated from Irene’s Myomassology Institute in 2008.
Yalanda is a wife and mother of three boys. She understands the daily stresses of being a working parent. But further she also understands the depth and aspect that pain can have on day to day life. As a young girl Yalanda had a strong interest in helping others. Family members often fostered that interest by letting her walk on their back or rub their shoulders after a long road trip. When Yalanda was in college her mother was injured in an auto accident that left her in a lot of constant pain. Yalanda began seeking alternative methods to relieve her mother's discomfort and over time discovered massage. After starting and raising a family Yalanda returned to her journey to becoming a massage therapist. Shortly after graduating from Irene’s Yalanda herself was in an auto accident that almost left her paralyzed. She went through surgery on her spine and a long road to recovery. But thanks to the power of healing touch, that road to recovery was shortened and made more bearable. Yalanda believes that massage can be a powerful asset to healing. Her mission is to bring relief and relaxation from the daily stress and discomfort of muscle pain.
