Sanctuary on 2nd is located in the heart of the historic Queen Village section of South Philadelphia. Our practice is located in a Victorian era storefront in a quiet, residential section of 2nd St.

Our approach is laid back and unhurried with an emphasis on excellent therapeutic massage always with our clients' goals in mind. We believe in a thoughtful customized approach to each client and every massage session. Most of our clients work with us again and again.

We are licensed and educated with an average experience level of almost 10 years in the industry and massage therapists who have made Sanctuary on 2nd their care...

I graduated from Finger Lakes School of Massage in 2009 and have been working with Sanctuary on 2nd since 2011. My holistic massage style includes but not limited to traditional swedish integrated with deeper muscular and connective tissue therapies. I also love working with hot stones especially when clients have specific goals for a session. I believe massage can increase self awareness and is an important addition to aiding an individuals overall healthcare goals. When I'm not at Sanctuary I spend most free time sculpting, biking and supporting my friends in there artistic endeavors.

I am drawn to massage therapy with the idea that the body has an inherent ability to heal itself, and I as the therapist am here to help it in this task. As a yoga instructor and energy practitioner, I've witnessed and felt the beauty of bodywork by creating space physically, mentally, and energetically. As a result of our daily lives, the body becomes tense and filled with toxicity. In my massage technique, I try to find areas of tension and use various massage modalities to create that necessary space in the muscles and joints. This increases blood flow and relaxation, thus increasing the body's flexibility and natural healing. I enjoy working therapeutically as well as for relaxation, and you'll find my work is an even combination of the two, unless specified otherwise. I received my schooling through the Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks in Pottstown, PA. Apart from my love of bodywork, I also have a love for body modification, going to shows, traveling, and biking around the city. Looking forward to meeting and working on you!
