Mara has extensive experience treating neck, back, and shoulder pain such as whiplash, rotator cuff injury, sciatica, tendonitis, and TMJ tension, and more, as well as providing deep relaxation and stress relief. 

Having worked with people of all ages and health, she has experience with those in cancer treatment and post treatment healing, post stroke recovery, open heart surgery recovery, and post surgical swelling.  She also provides MLD/CLT (Vodder Method) for lymphedema decompression with full bandaging and maintenance.  Mara completed a preceptorship at St. Francis Hospital Hospice in Colorado Springs, CO, and has volunteered with Covenant Care in Hospice in Pensacola.  

Certifications in Yoga Teacher Training and Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching are an integral addition to her massage practice and passion for promoting healthy lifestyle.

I've worked with people of all ages decreasing pain and increasing relaxation and stress relief. Some of my skills include Neuromuscular Trigger Point which I have honed over the years to be very comfortable when combined with Hot Stone Therapy. Both modalities work so well together to provide pain relief and deep relaxation. Some of the therapeutic massage work I've done includes but is not limited: Neck, shoulder, and back pain; current/post cancer therapy, post stroke therapy, TMJ pain, Tendonitis, Headache; Shoulder, Hip & Knee pain and/or replacement recovery. I also provide full MLD/CDT including bandaging for lymphedema decompression and maintenance. This also can help with post surgical swelling.

I have been going to see Mara weekly for two years. I so look forward to my weekly massage! I use to rely on Tramadol for my constant aches and pains. I no longer take it and if something does crop up, usually from yard work, Mara takes care of it! The whole experience is wonderful! She is such a caring person!

In early January I had liposuction to my upper and lower stomach area, my back as well as a tummy tuck. Initial recovery stage was so challenging that I had thoughts of regret about having the procedure and asked myself, why did I do this to myself?! Two weeks post surgery, I presented for lymphatic drainage with Mara which was a game changer! During the first session, I literally felt the release of fibrosis tissue and the flowing of fluid throughout the treated areas. For the first time, I began to feel like I was progressing in my recovery! I highly recommend Mara for your post surgical needs. She is pleasant, knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable during a time in my life where there was so much doubt and uncertainty!
