The treatment helped address the pain I was having in my leg for the past month. Jacki got right down to the areas which were causing it. She knew right away where to massage and address the issue. Jacqueline is just the best, from the moment you walk in you feel like a client, not a patient. She listens to your needs and concerns, and knows how to adjust to your needs. I have had a 5/10 pain in my lower left back area, for about a month now, to the point that I had increased pain when I lifted my right leg while sitting. Jacqueline focused on that area and worked it, when I left her treatment room I had 1/10 pain in that area, and that was just muscle soreness from being manipulated. I already can not wait for my next 90 minute medical massage with the best there is in the business.!!

Jacqueline is not a masseuse, this is not a spa massage experience. It is however the most effective therapeutic experience - life changing! During the first 5 minutes I wondered to myself “what is she doing and is this a total waste of time?” By about 15 minutes in, I became aware that my excruciating shoulder pain was melting away. After literally months of agony, she was releasing points that I didn’t even know existed. I gained range of motion, function and most of all the pain subsided more with each visit. I can’t really explain how she does it, nor do I need to know. I recommend her to every person that will listen long enough.

I cannot speak highly enough about Holden Hands Massage in Pawcatuck, CT. For several years, I have suffered with pain in my lower back due to slight scoliosis, hips due to arthritis, and myofascial pain in my neck and shoulders. I have been to physical therapy for these ailments on many occasions. Though it brought some relief, it was limited to the one area the script written by my rheumatologist specified. As a result, the relief did not last. I realized this was not going to change until I could find a way to treat all areas simultaneously. The answer was message therapy. I began working with Jacqueline at Holden Hands. I always leave feeling relief in all areas that were causing me discomfort. I never feel sore following a message. The first time I arrived I was not expecting it to be in someone's home. BUT once you get inside you forget that they live right upstairs! Very relaxing atmosphere. Clean & professional. And that's just the facility. The massage treatments are great as well. The therapist will discuss any problem areas and come up with the best treatment plan to alleviate them. The couples room makes you feel like you're actually escaping with the atmosphere--"magical" remote control lighting, a forest-like curtain design, and more that you just have to see. I had been dealing with increasing pain in my back and arm for about 5 days before i reached out to Holden Hands Massage. At that point in time, I was in severe pain. I was able to get an appointment right away. Jacqueline was extremely professional, asked a lot of questions, and exhibited a great understanding of the human anatomy and how our bodies function. She was able to relief much of my pain during the first visit, but was cautious enough to eliminate any further inflammation by overworking any areas. Prior to my appointment, i was unable to use the computer, and combing my hair or applying makeup was painful. Post-massage, i have followed Jacqueline's suggestions, and am feeling more relief each day. i will definitely return.

Especially after becoming fairly active I NEED the massages in order to keep my muscles in working order.
