After 31 exciting years in the high pressure technical world working both commercial and government programs for the U.S.'s leading defense contractor, Bill retired early to pursue other goals and interests.  In 2014 Bill completed his technical and practical training at the Central Florida School of Massage in Winter Park, FL. with focus on Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Reflexology and Chair massage techniques.  In addition learning about the anatomy and physiology of how the body moves and functions, which are fundamental to massage therapy, the teachings also focused on our bodies innate ability to protect and repair itself as we cope with the stresses of the 21st century. Understanding the body as a whole, with a set of internal systems that include skeletal, muscular, circulatory, neural and endocrine systems and the how's and why's massage works to support our bodies ability to restore balance and maintain wellness is inspiriting.  The opportunity to work with clients to find even just a few moments to de-stress and focus on oneselves is the genesis of Quiescent Retreat.
