Formally known as "Awaken Integration Massage", Owner/Founder Serena Scaglione has decided after 10 years of her solo private practice to give her company a facelift, relocate to a bigger space and invite a wonderful team of highly skilled Therapists on board! The best thing about the massage was the massage therapist, Dianna! Ashiatsu Maui is conveniently located in Paia with plenty of free parking. The rooms are restful and clean.
Nothing wrong with the ambiance at all, it’s literally just ok. It’s a massage studio with 2 rooms for massages. Nothing fancy, but the massage is well worth it.

At a very early age, Dianna Dragon realized that her natural talents exist in the healing arts. She has been doing massage for most of her life, but it was in the year 2000 when she moved to Maui, and studied the Hawaiian Massage style of Lomilomi, that she really discovered the art form that resonated perfectly with her. She studied under Laura Pyle, who was the first generation of “westerners” to be taught this ancient style of massage by the original Kumu, Auntie Margaret. Dianna’s style of Lomilomi, along with her other massage modalities, is very flowing, mesmerizing, connected, and intuitive. Her style works very well for very deep therapeutic work to address areas of concern, nurturing lymphatic drainage, and energy clearing. Dianna brings this deeply rooted, and intuitive touch to the healing art form of Ashiatsu.

Okay, now this session with Dianna was nothing short of amazing. i'm 66, and I've had lots of massages but this stands out as the most enjoyable of all. I am not exaggerating. Dianna said it was her combination of Lomi Lomi with her own modifications. It was soothing and relaxing, and yet also helped with some of the aches and stiffness I'm having as I get older. I told her about that, when she asked. Her skill also felt "feminine", as something in the beautiful world of the female side of life, which was quite nice and unexpected. Part of it was the music in the background she chose I suppose, but also the slowness and comforting way she applied her knowledge. She said she's been doing it for decades. It was a combination of fixing my aches/pains, and something soothing and wonderful. I could say more, I suppose, but my wife is doing a Zoom meeting right now, and it's distracting.

Well this is the professional deal, with health warnings about COVID, and the facility with masks, and a form to fill out online to ask about health stuff. I didn't really want to fill out all that stuff, but it was okay. The room was fine, though the air conditioner was a bit loud. I was comfortable there. The massage table was fine for a tall person, and the face thing had a germ catcher mask type of thing which allowed for free breathing. I assume everything was disinfected before I went into the room. One wonderful thing, by the way, was that this was a gift certificate that was pretty old because we lost it, and then Covid and whatever, but they honored the certificate, even though it was from the PREVIOUS company that no longer exists! A HUGE plus for that. What kind of company would do that? Oh, and on the phone the owner was really nice too, and she followed up with text messages.

It is our deep intention to give excellent customer service and treat everyone that comes in our door like family. And yes we absolutely disinfect every touch surface in between every client!
