Pagosa Massage And Bodywork + Movement Studio started out as
just Pagosa Massage And Bodywork in 2014 when owners, Lauren and Jenn, first
started healing outside of familiar spas geared towards tourism clientele. They wanted to create a space where everyone
was a valuable member of the healing process, where education is promoted, and
where healing was the ultimate goal. The
vision of PMAB + Movement Studio is to move into a new way of thinking about
massage, movement, and education to truly honor not only the client but the
healers/practitioners/instructors/therapists.

It's a challenge to find a massage therapist that meets your needs. Everyone is different, when you find a therapist that listens and customizes each session based on your current needs it's a therapist you hope sticks around for a long time. I've had three sessions with Jenn and each has been perfect! She gives great advice based on what she felt during the session to help me loosen up those muscles between sessions. During the session if anything she is doing feels uncomfortable, I tell her and she notes it so next session she finds a different way to address those areas.

The guest experience is world class from the moment you are greeted in the lobby. The setting is clinical and the staff very professional. Lauren was super informative and conducted herself with the class the entire 90 min massage. It was nice to have the clinical therapist experience with discussion about what’s going on and recurring feed back in real time. This place is great! Easy to schedule on line and pay in advance so when you're done, you're done. You can schedule different therapists until you find the one that works best for you and then continue to schedule with that particular therapist.

This place is truly excellent - they're mission focused and the experience is outstanding. I'd recommend PMAB to anyone who lives in or travels to Pagosa. It's not for those who are looking for a fancy spa experience, but if you're looking for true massage therapy from someone who knows and cares about what they're doing, then look no further! 10/10 would recommend and will definitely return on my next trip to Pagosa.
