I was raised in the shadow of the Sangre de Cristo mountains in northern New Mexico. After exploring the world for several years, I began studying Ayurvedic Herbal and Chinese Herbal Medicine with the East West School of Planetary Herbology in Santa Cruz, CA in 2010. Since then, my heart has planted it's roots in Maryland: I started a family, and my dream of becoming a person of service through massage, bodywork, and yoga has come to fruition.

I am a Nationally Certified Maryland State Registered Massage Practitioner and a member of the Associated Massage and Bodywork Professionals. I graduated from Central Maryland School of Massage in 2014 with over 750 hours of education and hands-on practice. While studying at CMSM, I received in-depth training in many styles including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, sports, and palliative massage. Since graduating, I have continued my education by receiving two separate certifications in the dynamic practice of Thai Yoga Massage, trained for hospice work with JSSA, and am certified in CPR and basic life support.

I have an intuitive touch and combine different massage modalities and techniques into every session in order to make it the perfect restorative massage for each client. I regularly draw from Thai Yoga Massage during sessions to incorporate stretching, deep breathing, and meditation. I may also add a hot stone or aromatherapy oil in the mix to help alleviate sore or aching muscles. I work with people that vary in age and ability, every one unique. What works for some, may not work for others, and even that can change day to day. Part of my commitment to client-centered care is inviting YOU to be an integral part of your own wellness program.

I am a member of Yoga Alliance and studied yoga with Daniel Hickman, graduating from the Multidisciplinary Yoga Teacher Training in 2017. I received over 300 hours of training in asana (movement), meditation, pranayama (breath control), and did extensive study in the Yoga Sutras, Tao Te Ching, and Dhammapada.

When I'm not practicing massage or downward dog, I can be found stargazing with my daughter and husband, cooking, and manipulating fire with my fire dance troupe Pyrophoric.

If your Looking for actual healing, look no futher, Mrs R is better than your entire team of specialists. She managed to fix issues in areas which would have taken doctors months on pills and in painful physical therapy. There are always room for improvements, and I think one that may be beneficial is finding a more consistent scheduling company who repeats the same service every time. Also I think if there were a computer generated filing system, just like a doctors office, Mrs Reames would have to rely on her memory less, and have digital notes to review. Ie. Patient did not like this oil... Patient has chronic degenerative hips from long term injury requiring new alternative therapies requiring special research... Then Mrs R can fully concentrate on the spirtit becUse she has notes digitized that pop up prior to each patient. No one is expected to remember every detail, and if you did we would think something were wrong. Her technique is so intuitive, I would give her my last dollar to eat b4 I would suffer in pain another day. As her quick friend, I would recome nd she find a contractor with a better eye for detail.

It's a little strange. Your system wants payment upfront, that's okay, but is asks for a tip upfront - that's a little awkward and presumptuous. Shouldn't a tip be based on the experience? Ad my very first massage experience, I was hoping to speak with someone over the phone to get some idea of what to expect, but that wasn't possible, as no one answers your phone and no message can be left. Why does this matter? Well, I was charged and paid for (with tip up front) for a sixty (60) minute massage. What I received was a 40 to 45 minute massage, because we had conversation, which is good, but apparently was charged to the massage time, which I didn't know ahead of time. That doesn't seem quite right.
