Touch, or the lack of it, affects each one of us. Healthy touch slows our heart rate and reduces anxiety. It allows us to feel safe and nurtured. A lack of touch, though, can make us feel lonely, depressed or ill. I am a firm believer in the benefits of postive, healing touch.
I graduated from SUSCC with a massage degree in 2005. I began practicing and educating right away. In 2015, I founded the Better Bodies Massage Institute and Clinic. We have provided massage for the Opelika and Auburn city schools, local sporting tournaments, the 280 Boogie in Waverly, AL, Auburn, Tuskegee and Point Universities, the "Music and Miracles" Festival at Jodran-Hare Stadium, professional athletes and musicians, nurses and more!
In addition to a B.S. in Natural Medicine from Everglades University, I continue to take educational classes yearly. I have studied Cupping, Myofascial Massage, Thai Stretching, Neuromuscular and Trigger Point Therapy, Lymph Drainage, Reflexology and P.N.F. Stretching, prenatal and Myofascial Release.
During my years of practice as a Massage Therapist, I have developed a professional and caring touchstyle that draws from all I have learned. Massages are crafted and personalized for each client's stress relief and pain reducation goals.
I live in Lee County with my herd of cats and dogs. When I'm not working as a massage therapist I am enjoying family, walking my dogs, cooking and reading, practicing yoga, taking photographs or enjoying time with friends.
