About Us

Barbara is a North Carolina Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist, #7766.

The desire and passion to help others has encompassed Barbara's life since childhood.  She was always looking for ways to serve others.   Being a mother, homeschool mom, wife, friend, volunteer and massage therapist are some of the ways she has loved serving others.  

Barbara began her massage career in 1997 after graduating from Colorado Springs Academy of Therapeutic Massage.  She has studied and applies various modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point therapy and is currently studying Bowenwork with American Bowen Academy.

My masseuse is someone highly skilled and qualified, yet so down to earth and relatable. She recognizes her clients as a whole person: taking into account their emotions, their physical needs, and checking with the client to make sure they are satisfied. I feel amazing after each session: inside and out. She provides physical healing in a space that is so calming and full of warmth. She has helped me understand the importance of healing my body with therapeutic massage. She is good at communicating and scheduling appointments, always prepared for each session, and goes above her call of duty. My favorite part of working with her is when she asks to pray over my body before the massage begins. I’m so grateful for someone who cares that much about my well being (as we both struggle with fighting cancer, we have bonded over the mutual understanding of each other’s journey). This was the most thorough, effective massage that I have ever had. I came to the appointment with a great deal of pain from fibromyalgia and autoimmune arthritis. My muscles were sore, and I had tension all over my body. However, after Barbara's massage, I experienced pain relief like never before. Also, I felt like a heavy burden had been lifted off of me physically and emotionally. And, I was not sore the next day, which has been the case with other massage therapists. Barbara took great care in customizing the session to my needs, and she made adjustments accordingly. Her skill and professionalism are extraordinary.

Barbara is simply amazing!!! She respects that I like to be silent or that I need to talk. She is incredibly strong, but is sensitive to my "tender" spots. I love the music that she plays, but have a hard time sometimes with the thumping of the gym underneath us (not her fault).
