Restorative Muscle Therapy, based on Schulman Therapy

Restorative Muscle Therapy (RMT) is a deeper tissue therapy that methodically works through the muscles and fascia, addressing systems of tension throughout the body. Based on a method developed over 60 years ago by Physical Therapist Nate Schulman, RMT integrates Jenna McCarty's intuitive and systematic approach. This treatment focuses primarily on resolving on managing pain. We first assess the type of pain and then treat accordingly. Inflammation, nerve irritation, soft tissue strains, spastic muscles all require slightly different approaches. We adapt according to the condition.

This treatment focuses primarily on resolving overall stress and tension build-up in the body. We use our Restorative Muscle Therapy to work methodically through the muscles and fascia, addressing systems of tension overload throughout the body. We unload the system, aiming to restore balance, allowing the muscles to release sustained contractions and return to a neutral, relaxed condition.

With an intuitive touch, Jenna brings creative innovation to her healing work. Jenna's personal values are for transformation and renewal. It's with this aim that she continues to develop Juvenation, her hands-on therapy along with meditative practices and explorative, reflective workshops.

After a diverse career path, Jenna suffered severely debilitating, chronic back pain in her mid-30s. She was able to cancel back surgery in 2011 after receiving deep and therapeutic bodywork by local "guru" Schulman Therapist, Michael Canann. Jenna began learning the Schulman Therapy technique shortly after her recovery in 2011.

Since 2013, Jenna has committed herself to full-time development of her practice in the healing arts. She has adapted and developed her approach to bodywork, considering the psychology of the body. The physical component of this technique is called Restorative Muscle Therapy (RMT), which grows out of her training in Schulman Therapy. In addition to the pure bodywork of RMT, Jenna is developing a new healing method called Juvenation, which addresses the physical, mental and emotional in an integrated healing approach.
She is training new therapists, growing a team that is eager to spread their unique and restorative approach to healing.
