Hello, I'm Alex Messier, State Registered and Nationally Licensed Massage Therapist. Additional I am a Certified Fitness Trainer through the International Sports Science Association and a State Register Chiropractic Assistant.

In the back of my head I always knew that I was going to become a therapist. The type of therapist was the question. Since I was in high school physical therapy had dominated my career aspirations and still remains an area of interest to this day. In my youth, I was constantly enrolled in various team sports whether I was playing for the local recreation center or for my school. Unfortunately, those sports got the best of me on multiple occasions and granted me ample opportunities to experience the role physical therapists play as they helped rehabilitate me after my knee surgeries. This transformed my love for sports into a passion to understand biomechanics (physics of human movement) and an overall effort to improve my own health and wellness.

As my awareness of the world around me has grown, I have really come to appreciate and actualize the gentle effectiveness of "alternative" medicine. Before starting my career in Massage Therapy, I worked as a Health Enthusiast at The Vitamin Shoppe. In addition to the industry leading education they provided me on both herbs and supplements, I was also able to receive countless testimonies from customers. There were several occasions where customers would come in and share their experiences of how an herbal or homeopathic remedy helped bring their body back into balance when nothing else was working. This was life changing for me as it really opened my eyes up to the efficacy of "alterative" medicine. Over the past several years I have instilled this into my own lifestyle. I have literally transformed myself inside and out and now find myself more vibrant and joyful than ever before! I hold this holistic approach very near to me and that is ultimately why I chose to become a Licensed Massage Therapist.

I consider myself blessed to be able to contribute to the health and happiness of other human beings on a daily basis and I look forward to working with you and being a part of your overall health and wellness program.
