NOLA Massage was founded by Amy Nicole Stewart LA3118 in 2006. She finished her initial massage training in 2002 and became a licensed massage therapist in 2004. Since then, Amy has noticed a significant drop in quality of care and attention given by therapists in spas and massage chains. There is also a lack of fair pay in these places which creates unhealthy environments where therapists are overworked and underpaid. It has become Amy's goal to create a cooperative of bodyworkers, therapists, healers, and skincare professionals who want to care most for their clients.

Amy is best known for her deep and intuitive pressure integrated with Thai style stretching and compression which make for a balanced body and massage. She also practices with cups, Graston technique, cupping, reflexology, Orthopedic massage, and myofascial treatments. Her style is very unique and she is able to adapt it to any person's needs. She loves teaching therapists she works with and also loves to continue learning and is always working on some course to continue her education. Amy has studied massage with masters in Thailand, Mexico, New Mexico, California, New York, and Florida. She looks forward to the end of Covid so she may go travel for more hands on training, though the ease of access online has allowed her to continue studying this entire time.
During these times we are very serious about protocols and screenings for Covid. Our Staff is tested regularly and monitors their temperature daily. We ask anyone who may have any symptoms to please reschedule. We will waive any cancellation fees for illness or suspected illness. We also require everyone wear a mask and we will provide one if you need one. We have hepa/uv filters in every room. We also spend time disinfecting and cleaning between each session (which is something we always did before and now we just use stronger disinfectants). We also have water proof sheets and covers underneath regular sheets which are changed between sessions. We are taking every precaution possible.
We have just moved our location Uptown into our own space. After using mixed building space for the last several years we are happy to have our own dedicated space in a historic home on Magazine Street. The new address is 5207 Magazine and we will be giving this website a new look very soon so that we can tell you more about our other therapists, our in network acupuncturists, private and semi private yoga sessions will soon be available, and more. Amy has also been learning a new style of cupping therapy and has bought a Vacucupping machine as well as a Cryo 21 Equipment machine which has many uses that will be described in our new website. Thank you all for your patience during these trying times, these moves have not been the easiest but they are for the best.
Mrs. Amy found and targeted spots of pain and tension I didn’t even know I had while also informing me of why I was experiencing the discomfort. She also sent me home with ways to prevent injuries in the future.
