Rachael DeCosta

When I was a little girl I used to massage my mother's feet after a long day; and my grandmother's neck and shoulders at family functions. Massage Therapy is something that has come naturally to me for 15 +/- years. I decided my senior year at Franklin High, that I would start my journey to become a professional. The summer following graduation, I started at Cumberland Institute of Holistic Therapies. I obtained my license in March of 2013.
So far, I have mastered relaxation and deep tissue...

Notable Experiences

Acupressure is great for relieving pain, reducing muscular tension, increasing blood flow and circulation, and it promotes healing and relaxation. Acupressure is done as a clothed bodywork session or can be integrated into your Swedish Massage.
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy or Cranial Sacral Therapy, is a healing therapy which is the method of evaluating and enhancing the function of the Cranial Sacral System. A light touch is used to assist the body in its natural movement to release any restriction from the body's attempt to self correct.
Deep Tissue
Deep Tissue Massage is very similar to Swedish Massage. The movement is slower and the pressure is focused to reach the deeper layers of the soft and connective tissues of the body.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone Massage is used as an add-on service. The heat from the stones help relax the muscles quicker and deeper without the added soreness one may feel after a deep tissue massage.
Swedish Massage is the most common and requested modality. It is perfect for increasing circulation and promoting relaxation.
Prenatal Massage is perfect for easing the aches and pains associated with growing a human being. It is recommended for the mother-to-be, to be in the second trimester before receiving bodywork.
