Hello there! My name is Emily Dobesh I am a Licensed Massage Therapist. I was Licensed in April of 2015.

My beginning in massage comes from my childhood. While a child herself my mother was injured so severely that she was in a half-body cast for 6 months. Ever since she healed a sudden or intense weather change would bring her pain and discomfort. My parents found that massage would help alleviate her pain. At around age 7 my parents taught me how to massage her back, glutes, and hips in such a way to help reduce my mother's pain. I fell in love with the idea of being able to help her.

My education is ever on going as all Massage Therapist's is. The start of my journey was The New School of Massage and Bodywork located in downtown Chicago, IL. I was a part of the year long evening program. I started in March of '14 and graduated the program in Feb '15.

My studio is located in Morrison, IL. We're a small but friendly town. While I prefer to schedule massages at my studio I do offer home calls in and around town.

While massage is a passion of mine, and I love it dearly, it is not what I do in my down time. When I'm not working you can usually find me with my parents and younger brothers, or curled up with a book and music.

Active Isolated Stretching

I took a four hour continued education class based on Active Isolated Stretching. It's a technique that improves the active range of motion for whichever joint and muscle you decide to focus on. I have used this technique since this class for self-care. I would like to pursue this in the future to add to my services.
