Be happy, enjoy life, stop and breathe~*

From my earliest memory I always enjoyed helping people. My first jobs were in the service industry, waiting tables, and working with children. As I continued my education, I began looking for a career, and desperately wanted to work in the health care industry. From my earliest memory I always enjoyed helping people. My first jobs were in the service industry, waiting tables, and working with children. As I continued my education, I began looking for a career, and desperately wanted to work in the health care industry. Unfortunately, my weak stomach and fear of needles took the nursing field out of the running. I was lost, looking for inspiration, and wanted something to work toward.  An instructor heard my plight and suggested I visit the coordinator of the massage department. That was the beginning of a remarkable journey for me!

The first year of massage school was condensed, and we were able to take the licensing exam after completion.  It was very difficult, physically, mentally, and emotionally, with a lot of long hours. The second year was optional and focused on clinical massage. I graduated with my associates degree in the health sciences.  I also began working as a technician at a physical therapy clinic with some phenomenal PT's and staff, all of which I learned much from.  I left the PT clinic when I had my first child and took some time to spend with my baby.
Networking with other massage therapists eventually gave me the resources and self confidence start up my business.  I had some incredible instructors and mentors over the years, and I have gained more knowledge than I ever thought possible.  In addition to wonderful friends, I have the most supporting and loving husband who had encouraged me through it all.  I have been self employed working strictly as a massage therapist since 2012, and although it has not all been easy, I am truly grateful for the people who have helped make my life whole.
I work to help clients get back to function, and enjoy providing a variety of modalities depending on what you need that day.
