Oriahna was incredibly nice. Unfortunately the massage was cut short (a little over 10 minutes short). She did try to make it right, but I felt uncomfortable asking for money back. I also prefer to keep conversation at a minimum while I get a massage, because talking about my life stressors deters from the relaxation. I do believe Oriahna would be totally open to any feedback from her clients though. She was such a nice person that I didn't have the heart to speak up. That is probably my fault.

Over two years ago I founded Elysian Wellness (now operating out of Elk Rock Wellness). My practice is limited to female clients. I've a passion for supporting women's health.
Our bodies detox thru our kidneys, liver and skin. Over time, our bodies struggle with "housecleaning." Accumulated toxins can cause bloating, skin breakouts, digestive problems, systemic inflammation and pain.
Ayurveda has a unique system, customized to each client, that promotes detoxing. A combination of diet, bodywork, herbs, oils and muds are used. Best results happen with consistent treatments.
Reflexology:
We feel our best when we’re open and relaxed. We contract when we’re hurt. Reflexology opens and relaxes the body by stimulating pressure points. It's similar to acupuncture, without the needles. It improves blood flow, frees nerves, and reduces pain. You wear loose clothing with bare feet while lying comfortably on a cushioned treatment table. Reflexology is extremely helpful for chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia and fatigue. It can restore hormonal balance. My Background:
After an Associates in Fine Art, I continued with a Bachelor of Science from Hofstra University. I followed my love of anatomy by learning hands on healing from The Oregon School of Massage. I graduated with dual certification in both Eastern and Western Massage. I continued healing skills at The Rolf Institute in Boulder. I became one of the first Certified Kinesiotapers in Oregon - an effective technique for injury recovery that promotes lymph drainage and supports muscles. I'm grateful for the multiple Reiki degrees I obtained through training with Dr. Frank Coppieters, PhD.

Knowledgable and thorough, a wealth of knowledge concerning her approach - Ayurvedic. Great stroke work and use of hot stones. I was light and relaxed when I left. However, I was looking for a more traditional massage and, while intrigued by her recommendations, (oil, supplements, joint care ritual to be done twice a day as well as a practice journal) it does not call to me as a path to wellness. She will be absolutely wonderful for folks that want a robust and specific plan for all over health.

The massage was great but the table was not the best. Had to adjust my head so my chin wasn't pressing against a metal bar, and the cushion on the table was on the thin side. The room was pretty hot and late afternoon sunlight was hitting my face and eyes directly which was pretty unpleasant.

I hope there are other rooms so I'm not next to the train track side again :/ Didn't feel the most welcome when I initially entered.Guy sort of seemed taken aback and made me feel like I was out of place being there. Once I confirmed that I was indeed scheduled, I guess all was fine. Not a warm welcome right off the bat...
