At the age of 18, Avant became certified and worked as a personal fitness trainer for Bally's Total Fitness and Gold's
Gym. While focusing on clients' fitness and nutritional needs, he discovered Yoga for his own internal practice. After several years of practice and meditation, he decides to go to Massage Therapy School at the Acupuncture and Massage College in Miami.

Shortly after he graduated Massage Therapy School, he took his first 200 hr Yoga certification course. In 2002, Avant received his Massage Therapy license and started teaching around 10 Yoga classes a week. Since then he has performed over 15,000 massages and healing sessions.

Avant realized early on after massaging the first few hundred people, that there is no separation from our physical and our spiritual body. This means that we must make a continuous effort in maintaining balance on a daily basis in order for the mind, body and soul to be in 'Unison".
