The Wellness Place in Mesquite is a budding co-op of wellness providers whose goal is to bring you life improving and enriching services and programs to be your best. Brandee Vasquez, LMT has been an area favorite in wellness care over the last 20+ years. Ashley Clark, LMT has been working with bodies and rehabilitation for almost 20 years. “How much does a massage cost?”

Depends on what you’re looking for. Check our services page to determine the best fit for you.

“Do I have to wear a mask?”

Massage therapists are expected to practice standard precautions as set by the CDC.

During session, if you’ve been coughing, sneezing, needing to clear your throat, or blow your nose a lot, we’d appreciate a mask to catch your phlegm. “Just allergies” to you can make others sick.

If you are having difficulties breathing thru a mask, we can coach you through it.

If you would like your therapist to mask up during your session, all you have to do is ask.

“Do you offer aromatherapy?”

Yes! We can also offer hot towels, cupping, kinesiotape, a heated table pad, and more! You can add on some services in the service menu, for others you can just add it to the notes as a request when you schedule your appointment.

“Do you offer any extras? *winky face* LOL”

No.

We only provide professional, positive therapies. Comments or behaviors that are threatening, aggressive, or of an overtly sexual nature will force the therapist to stop the session immediately. You will be charged the full price. You will be refused future services and/or reported for your behavior (solicitation).

“Do you require draping?”

Yup! Even before this law was passed. (scroll to the bottom).
Draping ensures the modesty of both the client AND the therapist.

“Do I have to be naked?”

Nope! Most forms of manual therapy can be performed through clothing.
We may suggest removing braces or brasiers, but your comfort is of the utmost importance when it comes to treatment.

“Where do I park?”

Sometimes there is 2 hour parking right in front of The Heritage Building, but often you will need to park in the lot across the street in the gaxebo parking lot.

“I’m going to be late. What should I do?”

Our scheduling procedures are designed as to not make our clients feel rushed before and after their sessions. However, if you arrive more than 10 minutes after your scheduled appointment, it may cut into your session time. We will do our best to accommodate you when we can, as we understand things such as traffic do arise. If your therapist is off schedule by more than 5 minutes, your session fee will be adjusted accordingly.

“Why do I have to prepay for my appointment?”

To compensate the therapist. When you schedule an appointment, that time frame is reserved for you and it is almost impossible to fill that spot on short or no notice. We realize that emergencies can happen, so please call and we can discuss your situation.

More than 12 hour notice of cancellation: no charge

3-12 hour notice of cancellation: you will be billed $20 for every hour scheduled.

No-Call/No-Show: If you give us less than 3 hours of notice or don’t show up to your appointment you will be charged the full amount of your scheduled appointment.

This applies to gift certificates as well.

“Do you do couple’s massage?”

We may be able to schedule 2 people simultaneously, but our facilities don’t accommodate 2 tables in one room.

“Do you have any specials?”

Sometimes! Check out the specials page.

“Did you go to school for this?”

Indeed. Texas LMTs learn anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, pathology, and more! Plus, we have to complete continuing education in order to maintain our licenses.

“How often should I get a massage?”

It all depends on your needs, goals, and resources (such as time and money). Some people need treatment every 3-7 days initially, but usually the goal is to ween down to once or twice per month to manage pain and stress while you practice exercises or activities at home – your “homework”.

“Do you take insurance?”

No, BUT, if you can get a prescription from your doctor, you may be able to receive reimbursement from your insurance company.
Some people use their HSA or FSA cards to pay for their therapy.

“I don’t feel well. Should I still come in?”

No. Please keep your cooties at home. Because of the nature of the work we do, we cannot do our jobs at all when we get sick.
Also, fever, unexplained body aches, and other flu-like symptoms or signs of infection are contraindications to massage (it can hurt you).
Should you need to cancel due to sudden illness, please contact your therapist ASAP. We can usually waive cancellation fees due to sudden illness.

The area and place it is in is cute. A litte town square. I was a little put off when I started to enter and there was a political sign in the window, but know its how it works in smaller town. The ladies were friendly and said hello, so that was nice. But here it is...What made me the most uncomfortable though was the TV being on news storirs that I came in to get away from and every one here was going on in ways that just made it an unpleasant wait. Again, I was coming in too relax and get away from bad news and here I was soaking it in. I dont know if it is always like this or just because of the events of the week. The therapist gave me a tip for next time to make myself more comfortable, but, I'll bring my earphones in. Just in case.
