Being a massage therapist for the past 16 years has brought so much joy to my life. It has been truly humbling to know that I can be a tool in God's hands for healing and helping to restore wholeness to the lives of those I touch. It has also been fulfilling to feel that I have pursued a career in something I was meant to do in this life.
I attended school at Utah College of Massage Therapy in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated in 1999. The program I went through offered education in various modalities that I feel have made me a well rounded and thorough therapist. My specialties are in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Sports/Injury, Pregnancy, Reflexology, Cranialsacral, and Thai Yoga. I love to continue my education, so that I can provide a more detailed and customized experience for each client.
I also have interest in other areas of the medical field. In the past, I attended Mesa Community College in pursuit of a Nursing degree and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Banner Baywood Medical Center for about 2 1/2 years. I ended up deciding that Nursing was not a good fit for me, but would like to return to school to study surgical technology at some point in the near future.
When I am not caring for others, I enjoy hiking, exercising, dancing, singing, cooking, reading, movies, fine arts, and crafting. I also strive to stay involved in service opportunities through my church and love to be with people. I believe it is important to cultivate balance in my life, which keeps me interested in various activities all the time. hide
