At
The Wellness Retreat, LLC we provide Therapeutic Massage & Reiki services. We
offer a holistic approach to massage therapy where client comfort and safety
are our main priorities. We take the time to talk with our clients to form a treatment
plan and establish goals for the session. Through the use of specialty massage
tables, pillows and bolstering we are able to make sure that clients are
relaxed and comfortable. Whether the client is training for their next
marathon, recovering from an injury, pregnant or just needing to renew and
recharge, The Wellness Retreat will tailor a session that works for their
individual needs.
We are on the 2nd Floor of the Union Square building. It is located between 2nd & 3rd Streets in Marietta.

I followed Velvet to this location from a previous business she worked for because she is just absolutely amazing! The first time I visited her I got relief for severe back pain that was leaving me unable to walk even after seeing multiple Drs, a chiropractor, and a different massage therapist. Now I'm pregnant and was dealing with some major sciatica pain and general discomfort and she once again made everything soooo much better! Her new facility is beautiful and her table is PERFECT for making you comfortable despite the aches and pains of pregnancy. I could not recommend her any higher!!!!

At nearly 7 months pregnant, it's becoming harder and harder to be comfortable, even in my own bed. The aches and pains finally got me to book and I am so glad I did.
The Wellness Retreat space is welcoming and clean. The massage table was warm (which I was glad for it was a cold and rain day) and reclined similar to an adjustable mattress. I was able to stay comfortable through the whole massage, which was excellent.
Velvet didn't just go through the "motions", you can easily see she takes pride in massage therapy and her clients wellness. She checked in to make sure I was comfy and the pressure was right. I really appreciated her professionalism too. Highly recommend!

So glad you enjoyed it! Having a massage table that tilts the upper body up (about 30-70 degrees) and also can lift at the knees allows clients to comfortably lay in a semireclined position. Side-lying positioning can also be used. This is great for pregnancy & also great for anyone who can't lay comfortably on their back.

Velvet has always been excellent, checking to see what the focus should be for this session. (I have spinal bone spurs and arthritis in several joints and have depended on her skills for years.) But the new space! Being in a beautiful piece of "old Marietta" for a great massage may be the ultimate wellness experience. I bought a package!
