Hi! My name is Dennise Thomas! I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist graduated from the Virginia School of Massage, as well as a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). I specialize in Stone Medicine and Craniosacral Therapy; focused in neck and back pain management, including other modalities and techniques such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Stone Massage, Himalayan Salt Stone Massage, Fire Cupping Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Indigenous Abdominal Massage, Sound/Vibrational Therapy and Somato Emotional Release.

After almost 20 years in the medical and customer service field, I longed for a career in Massage Therapy to help my husband at his Chiropractic practice, just to soon realize massage therapy and helping people is my passion! I was already familiar with the benefits of massage, for as a teenager my mother was first introduced to chiropractic/massage care as a way to help relieve tension and pain after a very bad fall and that ended in a low back surgery. This career has given me the opportunity to start my own business and help others find a path towards wellness. Having worked alongside chiropractors, physicians, athletes, accident victims, expectant mothers, children as well as elderly. I have focused heavily on therapeutic massage because so many people experience chronic pain that often do not respond to traditional medical treatments, and who are, therefore, searching for an alternative solution. I specialize in alleviating long-term pain, and discomfort. I founded SacredStone Massage and Healing Arts to address these types of issues.

I consider myself an "Intuitive Therapist". This means I let your body do the talking. I do not pressure or force the body to achieve wellness goals. My technique utilizes hands-on therapeutic massage techniques to facilitate the release of energy blockages and restore or balance the flow of energy within the body. My bodywork is a bit unique with a blend of techniques and various modalities customized to benefit my clients needs. For example, some people think that Deep Tissue is all about the pain. If you are looking for someone to hurt you, I am not the therapist for you. I believe more in warming up the tissues and slowly work the muscle. Knots and tension will disappear without the "No Pain, No Gain" approach.

From adjusting the temperature of the table, placing pillows for comfort, picking the perfect essential oils for your mood that day, I will continually strive to bring my clients the best in alternative medicine and customer service with a caring and compassionate touch!

Hello! My name is Lauryn. I am a graduate of Advanced Massage Therapeutics in Louisville, KY after completing 625 hours of education in Swedish Massage, Injury and Pain Assessment, Deep Tissue (including Myofascial Massage and Trigger Points), and Anatomy and Physiology. There are few things I get as excited about as my passion for massage and my appreciation for my clients, and I am thrilled to grow in my practice at SacredStone!
My path to massage therapy was not straight and narrow. Just a year before going to school for massage I graduated from University of Louisville with an accounting degree and started as a Corporate Accountant. As I found myself feeling energetically drained at the end of each day, I knew I wasn't where I was meant to be and had to make a change. I was longing for something fulfilling, that allowed me to connect with people and to myself.
Massage came to mind for a few reasons. Before the pandemic I had been getting massages for myself and felt such peace every time I walked into a practice. The energy matched me so well! Beyond just enjoying the massage, I was curious what it would be like to be able to help people on their wellness journeys as a therapist. When considering leaving my accounting job, I researched careers for my personality and massage therapy was a top result, reminding me of my previous curiosity. I took it as a sign and decided to attend an orientation at a massage school in town, took a leap of faith, put a two-month notice in at my corporate accounting job, and decided to dive in head first. I could not be more proud of that decision.
Now as a therapist, I look forward to finding my grounding and my own niche that allows me to best serve my clients. I enjoy combining relaxation with therapeutic work to minimize and manage chronic pain for my clients and help them connect to themselves. In the coming months I also hope to explore energy work, as I am freshly attuned in Reiki I and Reiki II and believe it can be a great addition to massage. All-in-all I look forward to a fulfilling career of continuous learning, growth, and building genuine connections with clients, fellow therapists, and myself. I am a Licenced Massage Therapist and a Louisville native.
Bringing people relief through therapeutic touch is one of my greatest joys in life. I believe that healing the world begins with the healing of ourselves as individuals.

The body holds onto past and present experiences, both physical and emotional, that can manifest into physical pain and restrictions later in life. My biggest goal is for clients to feel a sense of release from these pains and patterns. When there is release, transformation and growth may begin to occur. This is the process of healing, and this is what I strive to facilitate for every client.

I like to use a variety of modalities in my practice including: Craniosacral Therapy, Modern Cupping, Gua Sha, and Triggerpoint therapy. I also offer traditional Swedish and deep tissue massage. My pace is slow and steady, giving the muscles time to relax and allowing me to work at a deeper level. My approach is intuitive and spiritual but rooted in a solid foundation of anatomy and physiology. I believe that I’ll never stop learning and am excited to offer other modalities soon.

In addition to taking care of the body, I believe that pursuing our hobbies and interests is one way to improve our health and well being. Some of my favorite things to do are sing, dance, cook, travel, spend time in nature, and practice the Spanish language. These things connect me to my soul and make me feel good and whole and better able to support all of you on your journeys.

I saw Lauren today. I have been seeing Dennise for about a year and Lauren is new there but does a great job. She uses a lot of the same techniques that Dennise does and I have never had a bad massage with Dennise. Lauryn will continue to learn more and be able to do the cupping later. Although the massage was very gentle and relaxing, I found definite benefit to my spine and legs. Dennise works by instinct and inspiration and uses her spiritual self as well as her technical skills to perform her healing arts. I really loved my massage. The environment was warm and inviting and it was clear that Dennise knew what she was doing. I found the bed a little less comfortable than I am used to, but Dennise did her best adjusting it. Also, I really appreciated that she took my concerns about having any non-vegan products used on me and wash happy that she verified they were vegan products.I would highly recommend.
